RENAISSANCE PROVIDENCE HOTEL
Formerly Rhode Island's Masonic Temple, the Renaissance Providence Hotel is once again an icon to the state. The original construction of the temple, which began in 1928, was never completed, as the Great Depression brought the project to a halt. It's unfinished state remained unchanged for over seven decades. From 2004 to 2007, a complete renovation of the historic structure would be the largest restoration effort ever undertaken in the State of Rhode Island. Today, the building stands proud of its heritage. In addition to the hotel, the project also included the design and construction of the Temple Downtown restaurant.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Benchmark Enterprises, LLC provided an additional layer of management on the project to help control the many dynamics of the development. Emphasized focus was placed on cost control, schedule management and change management.
