THE BLACKSTONE

Originally opened in 1910 on the site of the former Blackstone Mansion, The Blackstone Hotel was considered to be one of Chicago's best examples of Modern French Beaus-Arts architecture. Throughout it's life, the Blackstone became known as the "Hotel of Presidents", hosting some 12 US Presidents. After closing its doors in 1999, the Blackstone was re-acquired and positioned for a full-scale historic renovation in 2005. In March of 2008, the Blackstone, a Renaissance Hotel, re-opened its doors to the public.
